The Mitsubishi Roamer 2000 (also known as MT-597F0R6A) was a follow up to the Mitsubishi Roamer and was considered a major upgrade to the original model. It used the ETACS network and was sold by UK mobile operator, Cellnet. It cost approximately £1500, featured a retractable antenna and was a more slimline design than its predecessor.  When it was first launched it had a major software bug which caused the phone to lock itself making it un-usable. This was resolved with a software update. It also suffered from extremely bad battery life, with many owners purchasing additional batteries. The phone featured in the drama, Twice Shy, a drama made by Irish broadcaster RTÉ and Canadian company Comedia.
