The V800 was a successor to the
Sony Ericsson Z1010. It was one of the six handsets announced by Vodafone when it launched it 3G networks around the world.
Its striking design featured a "Motion Eye" rotating 1.3-megapixel camera allowing users to point the camera at themselves for video calls, but also to take pictures and videos of what they could see. It also had an in-built light on either side of the camera to illuminate users in low light.
On the front of the clamshell, it had a small colour screen that could be used as a viewfinder but also displayed the caller ID and the picture associated with the person calling.
Inside it had a vibrant 2.2-inch 262k colour screen. It was known as the V800 in Europe and as the Vodafone 802SE in Japan.
