The X1 was a low-cost dual-SIM qwerty phone from Chinese phone maker Bird. It was able to manufacture the X1 for less than $20 making it an extremely affordable device. This was surprising given the housing for the phone was made of metal. Bird tried to enter the UK market in 2010 but was unsuccessful and disappeared as quickly as the company had arrived.
