The Xperia X8 was announced by Sony Ericsson at a launch event in Singapore. It had a similar design language to the Xperia X10 and had a user interface similar to the Xperia X10 mini. It was designed “to extend the appeal of the Xperia collection to new market segments” offering a mid-range Xperia device for consumers.
