The Z530i was an affordable clamshell camera phone which was a successor to the
Sony Ericsson Z520. The camera had a 4X digital zoom and a 65k colour display. Sony Ericsson described it as "an ideal tool to capture, view and share images".
At the time it was relatively unique for a phone at this price point to feature expandable memory of up to 1 GB which was offered via a Sony Memory Stick Micro (M2) card.
The phone was available in grey, red and black. The device in the Mobile Phone Museum collection is the grey variant.
