The Sony Ericsson Z780 was a 3G quad-band HSDPA-capable phone that was a successor to the Z770 and had an almost identical design. Unlike the Z770, the Z780 featured aGPS (Advanced GPS) and Google Maps. The variant in the Mobile Phone Museum collection is a prototype unit of the Z780a which was available in the US on the AT&T network. It featured the AT&T logo as part of the d-pad navigation button. The Z780 was available in two colours: Grand Onyx and Amethyst Silver.
