The Pantech Impact (model number: P7000) was offered exclusively by US carrier AT&T. It was targeted at younger users who enjoyed texting and social media. It was available in bright blue (the device included in the Mobile Phone Museum collection) and soft pink.
The phone had a sideways flip that opened to reveal a qwerty keyboard which featured a range of shortcut keys enabling one-touch access to instant messaging, text messages and email.
The outside of the phone had a glossy faceplate with a haptic response touchpad which included a hidden keypad to make calls and sent text messages. The faceplate also included music controls.
