Affordable phone maker, Alcatel, partnered with the Sixty Group in 2009 to launch the international fashion brand’s first mobile phone known as the “Miss Sixty Mobile”. The design and colours were inspired by trends from Fashion Week in 2009 with the company stating that “Miss Sixty’s young, sensual and ironic sensibility characterized the new phone.” At the time of launch, Wichy Hassan, Co-Founder and Creative Director of the Sixty Group stated that the company was “extremely proud of the collaboration with Alcatel mobile phones”. He went on to comment that the Sixty brand represented “a dynamic lifestyle, a mix of inspirations ranging from fashion to art, from music to technology.” The phone featured gold-coloured metal details on both the screen and keyboard and was available in different colour variants including white and gold, red, pink and violet (as featured in the Mobile Phone Museum collection). All the devices had “chrome reflexes”.  Features included a 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio and Bluetooth 2.0 technology. Two versions were available, the Essential Kit and a Premium Kit with an exclusive bracelet charm. At launch, these cost €99 and €129 respectively, and were initially offered in the UK, Germany and Italy.
