Features

The key features on the Pantech PH-K1000V were its camera and ability to record TV broadcasts. It also had a distinctive “flip and rotate” two-inch colour TFT screen. It included a 3.1-megapixel camera that was notable for its mechanical shutter which was similar to that of a digital camera. This allowed users to adjust the camera to cater for different lighting conditions. There was also a built-in flash and red-eye reductions support. The phone was also able to receive broadcast TV when connected to a what Pantech called the "mini docking complex" (MDC) that incorporated the TV receiver. It also had an FM radio. Both TV content and radio broadcasts could be recorded directly onto the phone’s one-gigabyte memory offering a total of 90 minutes recording time for TV broadcasts. It was sold by KTF, the second largest telecoms player in Korea at the time to be used on its 1X EV-DO CDMA network.
