The SA700iS was Sanyo’s first device for NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA service. It was also notable for being the first FOMA phone with built-in GPS support which made it possible to geotag photographs.

The phone featured a 65,000-colour, 2.2-inch QVGA TFT LCD internal screen and an external OLED display.
