The T616 was a breakthrough product for Sony Ericsson. It was a successor to the popular T68i and a US variant of the highly successful Sony Ericsson T610. The T616 had GSM 850/1800/1900 MHz support for the Americas. The phone had a 65k STN colour screen, integrated camera, Bluetooth, Music DJ polyphonic ringtone composer, QuickShare photo sharing, and an optional flash accessory. The T616 included Java and the Mophun game platforms which made it possible for developers to create games for the device (and other Sony Ericsson products). The polyphonic ringtone composer allowed users to mix different combinations of pre-defined beats together to create their own unique ringtones. The QuickShare photo capability was also an important feature allowing users to send pictures they had taken on the device with as few clicks as possible.
