Vodafone UK, a technology communications company that connects people, businesses and devices, announced its five-year sponsorship of the Mobile Phone Museum in November 2021.
Its services span mobile, fixed-line connections, home and office broadband, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
It has a strong track record as a tech pioneer, making the UK’s first mobile phone call, sending the first text message, and making the UK’s first live holographic call using 5G in 2018. This makes it a perfect partner for the Mobile Phone Museum.
Today, Vodafone serves more than 18 million mobile and fixed-line customers in the UK.

Founded in 1993, CCS Insight is a global analyst company focused on current and future trends in communications technology. It has grown to be a multimillion-pound business with offices in London and California.

Code8 is a collective of web developers based in Prague focusing on creating user friendly, high performing websites and applications. They are the brains behind the Mobile Phone Museum's amazing website which they built based on the design prepared by Toman Design.

MIPI Alliance
MIPI Alliance is a collaborative global organization serving industries that develop mobile and mobile-influenced devices. The focus of the organization is to design and promote hardware and software interfaces that simplify the integration of components built into a device, from the antenna and modem, to peripherals and the application processor.
It crafts all of its specifications to meet the stringent operating conditions required in mobile devices: high-bandwidth performance, low power consumption, and low electromagnetic interference (EMI).
Phase Two Design
Phase Two is an industrial product design agency that was founded in the midst of the 2020 global pandemic; a pivotal moment that caused its founders to reconsider their motivations and aspirations. It specialises in providing real world functional products and ensuring their clients’ vision is delivered throughout the design process to maximise the return on complex investments.
Phase Two kindly created the Ericsson JB988 model in our collection, working with the latest in materials and manufacturing techniques.
Toman Design
Toman Design was founded in London in 2005 and is now based in Prague. It offers a wide range of creative services including the development of corporate identities, branding and more. It prides itself on clean and clear design following the motto: "Design instead of too many words!"
Toman Design created the brand identity and website design for the Mobile Phone Museum.
WDS
WDS provides device knowledge and business intelligence to the global telecoms industry with the aim of improving customer satisfaction.
They were established in 1996 to make the mobile experience better and their technology is integrated into products from some of the largest mobile vendors, helping more than 2 billion wireless customers on their mobile journey.
WDS supports the museum by providing specifications and images for some of our devices in the collection.
